Pakistan and Qatar vow to intensify diplomatic efforts for peace in the region

Pakistan and Qatar have stressed the need to reduce tensions in the region and have expressed their determination to intensify diplomatic efforts for peace.

According to the Foreign Office spokesperson, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar had a telephonic conversation with Qatari Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani and discussed the regional and global situation in detail.

The spokesperson said that the two leaders expressed concern over the rising tensions in the region and stressed the need to immediately reduce tensions.

The statement said that the Qatari leadership appreciated Pakistan’s diplomatic efforts to promote peace, stability and dialogue.

The Foreign Office spokesperson said that the conversation reaffirmed the commitment to further strengthen brotherly relations between the two countries and that close communication would be maintained on the changing situation.

The leaders agreed that joint diplomatic efforts would be continued for sustainable peace in the region.
