Pakistan and Indonesia to collaborate in health sector, progress expected on local vaccine production

A new era of cooperation in the health sector between Pakistan and Indonesia has begun, with both countries committed to working together on key issues such as public health, pharmaceutical manufacturing, and local vaccine production.

According to a spokesperson for the Ministry of Health, the Indonesian Ambassador to Pakistan called on the Minister of State for Health, Dr. Mukhtar Bharath in Islamabad. During the meeting, topics such as bilateral cooperation in the health sector, exchange of human resources, and establishment of medical institutions were discussed in detail.

Dr. Mukhtar Bharath described the meeting as “an important step towards translating mutual goals into concrete health initiatives.” He said that Pakistan views its cooperation with Indonesia as a strategic priority and is ready to work on long-term health projects between the two countries.

Vaccine production was identified as a key area of ​​common interest in the meeting, and Dr. Mukhtar Bharath stressed that promoting vaccine production in Pakistan with Indonesian cooperation is the need of the hour.

The Indonesian Ambassador emphasized that the two countries should explore more opportunities to enhance bilateral cooperation in the health sector, and Indonesia is committed to taking this partnership forward.

Dr. Mukhtar Bharath said that Pakistan wants to benefit from each other’s experiences in the health sector with Indonesia, so that shared goals can be translated into effective health initiatives for both countries.
