An overseas Pakistani group has offered to buy Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) for over Rs.
In order to buy PIA for more than Rs.1 billion, Al Nahang Group sent an email to the Minister of Privatization, Minister of Aviation and Minister of Defense and other relevant authorities.
The group also offered to pay PIA’s Rs 250 billion dues. Regarding privatisation, the group has also offered no retrenchment of PIA employees, 30 to 100 per cent increase in salaries in a phased manner. Incorporation of modern aircraft in the fleet has also been assured along with the best business plan for the national airline. The offer also includes an option to make the national airline an engineering and maintenance hub for other airlines.
