An additional main gas pipeline has been opened by Sui Southern Gas Pipeline Limited (SSGC) in Karachi to address citizens’ concerns about poor gas pressure in various regions.
Imran Maniar, managing director of the SSGC, stated that the new gas pipelines will increase supplies to consumers in Karachi’s old city neighbourhoods, including Lyari and Garden.
According to him, the 12-inch-diameter pipeline runs for five kilometers from Mazar-e-Quaid to the Dhobi Ghat region. At a cost of Rs150 million, the new pipeline project was finished.
According to Maniar, the pipeline will put an end to the problem of low pressure for residents in the ancient city regions.
