Yesterday nation observed Martyrs’ Reverence Day to pay tribute to the unprecedented courage and sacrifices of the personnel of our security forces who have rendered great sacrifices for the motherland.
The nation paid rich tributes to army personnel, martyrs, and their families for their sacrifices and saluted them for their gallantry and sacrifices made for the country. Sacrificing life for the defense of the motherland is the highest sacrifice that one can make.
Remembering the country’s heroes was a source of motivation for both forces and the nation. We can never thank enough families of our martyrs for their great sacrifice. The nation owes to the heroism and sacrifices offered by the jawans and officers of our Armed Forces, including the Pakistan Army, Rangers, Air Force, Navy, Police, and other security institutions.
Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif expressing his resolve to bring the elements behind May 9 arson and vandalism incidents to justice, reiterated that the entire nation would not let such barbaric attacks happen in the future on different civilian and military installations across the country.
Army also plays a major role by providing help to civil administration to maintain law and order in case of civil unrest. Army always comes to help its citizens in natural disasters and calamities. Pakistan Army is considered one of the best armies in the world.
No one can doubt the professionalism and capability of the Pakistan Army. Pakistan Army has remained the most well-managed, disciplined, and responsive institution in the country. The nation will never forget the huge sacrifices made by soldiers and officers for the love of their motherland.
Pakistan Army has played a constructive role in remote areas of the country like Gilgit-Baltistan, FATA, Chitral, and Balochistan, through the construction of roads, education facilities, water supply schemes, medical facilities through CMHs, and medical camps.
Pakistan Army’s role in rescue and relief work was remarkable in the 2005 earthquake. Pakistan Army paid immediate attention to disaster relief and restore basic services. Nation remembers it as one of the best-executed rescue and relief operations ever. Similarly, Pak Army always came up to the expectations during floods and other calamities.
No one can forget the efforts of the Pakistan Army in the Covid-19 pandemic. The soldiers on the roads and streets did make sure that people were following standard operating procedures, including social distancing and masking.
Pakistan Army has played a massive role in providing health facilities to citizens. Throughout the year, Army doctors organize camps for civilians and provide free treatment in many areas.
Today, more than forty state-of-the-art Army hospitals are functional throughout the country with the best possible facilities available to military personnel and civilians.
No institution is more crucial for a country’s survival than its military, and the military’s importance has been undeniable in meeting overt existential threats from its neighbor, India, since its inception. Moreover, the Pakistani military has been on the front line of the global struggle against terror for a very long time.
Everybody knows the professionalism and skill with which it has fought the menace of terrorism. The Pakistani military’s success against terror groups in the last few decades has been enough to raise its stature not only in Pakistan but also in countries that are going through similar experiences.
Offering sweat and blood for the motherland has been an honor of the highest degree throughout human history and remembering these noble souls with love and respect is the minimum any nation could do to recognize their sacrifices.
Whatever the detractors of the Pakistan Armed Forces may say, the people of Pakistan know and value the sacrifices Pakistan’s soldiers have made for them, and they will not stop honoring their heroes.
