A lot of things happen in politics by chance: Hina Rabbani Khar - Herald

ISLAMABAD: Hina Rabbani Khar, minister of state for foreign affairs, stated on Tuesday that Pakistan was not acting alone because its foreign policy was progressing and that all diplomatic missions were active on all fronts.

She concluded the discussion on the requests for funding for the Foreign Ministry in the upcoming fiscal year and responded to Dr. Ramesh Kumar’s criticism in the National Assembly by stating that Pakistan played a much larger role on the international stage than its GDP suggested.

We are delighted to note that Pakistani diplomats, statesmen, and politicians have contributed to the [efficiency of] a policy in the global organisations over the years, she continued. She claimed that Bilawal Bhutto Zardari’s administration of the foreign services department went above and beyond the call of duty.

No one could dispute that China was Pakistan’s most successful strategic partner among the BRICS, she remarked. China is a member of BRICS, which stands for Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa, and all of its members are required to work together for mutual benefit, she continued.

She claimed that if a particular hostile nation attempted to stop Pakistan and was successful in doing so, “how can we question China’s intention”?
Earlier this week, the Chinese government released a statement in which it acknowledged Pakistan’s contribution to global growth and expressed its desire for Pakistan to take part in it.
