Pakistan Super League (PSL) franchise Karachi Kings has given a powerful and creative response to the controversial promotional banner of Indian Premier League (IPL) team Punjab Kings.
Ahead of the high-voltage match between Pakistan and India on Sunday in the Asia Cup 2025, actress Preity Zinta’s franchise Punjab Kings had shared a post on social media in which the Indian logo was prominent while the Pakistan logo was deliberately left blank.
This move by Punjab Kings angered the fans and cricket fans called it against the spirit and dignity of the game.
In retaliation, Karachi Kings released an influential post in which Pakistan captain Salman Ali Agha was shown playing chess while the Indian captain was shown hidden in the shadows.
The image also showed a clock with its hands striking exactly 6:00, which observers interpreted as a reference to “Operation Banyan Al-Marsoos” in which six Indian fighter jets were shot down by Pakistan.
It should be remembered that the Asia Cup 2025 match between Pakistan and India will be held at the Dubai Cricket Stadium on Sunday. Both teams are in excellent form, India bowled out the United Arab Emirates for just 57 runs in their first match, achieving the target in just 4.3 overs.
Pakistan had defeated Oman by 93 runs in their first match. Pakistan scored 160 runs in the first batting, while in reply the Omani team was bowled out for 67 runs in the 17th over.
