ISLAMABAD: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar says that we are in touch with an influential European group for the release of all Pakistanis, including former Senator Mushtaq Ahmed.
Speaking in the National Assembly, the Deputy Prime Minister said that according to our information, former Senator Mushtaq Ahmed has been arrested by Israeli forces, we are making every effort to bring all Pakistanis back safely.
Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar said that we do not have diplomatic relations with Israel, so we are trying to release them through a third country.
Regarding the peace agreement in Gaza, he said that when we were given a 20-point agenda, we were given a revised 20-point plan by Islamic countries, but changes were made in the 20-point draft that was finalized and we do not accept changes in the 20-point draft.
Ishaq Dar said that the Prime Minister tweeted in response to Trump’s first tweet and till then we did not know that changes were made in the draft, our position on the issue of Palestine is the same as that of the Quaid-e-Azam.
He said that in the UN meeting, the Prime Minister raised Pakistan’s issues and also criticized it by naming Israel.
The Deputy Prime Minister said that the UN, the European Union and the Arab countries have failed to stop the bloodshed in Gaza. The aim of the talks with Trump was a ceasefire in Gaza.
He said that ministers from 40 countries are coming in October and today there is an important meeting with diplomats from 40 countries.
Regarding the agreement with Saudi Arabia, Ishaq Dar said that our lives are also sacrificed for the Haram Al-Sharif and this agreement did not come to fruition, negotiations on the agreement started during the PDM era and this government accelerated the work on this agreement. Allah Almighty has included us among the servants and protectors, for which we are grateful.
He said that this is a very important agreement and the agreement was not made blindly, after our agreement, other countries also expressed interest. During the General Assembly session, many countries talked to us, if more countries come, it will become a NATO and I believe that Pakistan will lead the Muslim Ummah, to become an economic power after nuclear power.
Ishaq Dar said that Shama Junejo’s name was not in the letter written by me, Shama Junejo’s name was not given in the letter of the official delegation, Shama Junejo’s name was given in the speech writer and other staff and my signature is not on this letter.
The Deputy Prime Minister clarified that the issues with the PPP can be resolved.
The National Assembly session was adjourned until 5 pm on Monday.
