Balochistan: According to a statement from the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), two Pakistan Army personnel were martyred when suspected terrorists assaulted a security force installation in the Balochistan region of Harnai on Saturday night.
The military’s press office reported that “during the night of August 13/14, terrorists fired on a security forces post in general area close to Harnai, Balochistan.”According to the ISPR, the security forces were able to thwart the fire raid from a distance and pursue the evading terrorists into the neighbouring foothills.
The military’s media affairs office claimed that as a follow-up, “a fierce exchange of fire also took place between terrorists and a security forces patrol while in an encircling attempt to cut off fleeing terrorists.”
While there was a firefight, Naik Atif and Sepoy Qayyum, two troops, chose martyrdom, while Major Umer was hurt.According to the ISPR, the terrorists also suffered significant losses during the battle.
