The International Monetary Fund (IMF) has urged Pakistan to stop corruption in government contracts and abuse of public office in its Corruption Diagnostic Assessment Mission report.

According to the report, sources said that the IMF has shared the initial draft of the Corruption Diagnostic Assessment Mission report with Pakistan, in which the International Monetary Fund has urged Pakistan to stop corruption in government contracts and abuse of public office.

Sources said that instructions have been given to review the recommendations before issuing the final report, and the final report on identifying corruption is likely to be published by the end of this month.

Sources said that the IMF has directed the government to learn from the best models in the world and issue new guidelines. The report described the process of identifying politically influential people in Pakistan as uneven.
