IHC clears objections to PTI founder, wife's appeals in Toshakhana-II case

ISLAMABAD : The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has removed objections to the appeals filed by the founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and his wife, Bushra Bibi, against their convictions in the Toshakhana-II case.

The hearing was conducted by Justice Khadem Hussain Soomro. Barrister Salman Safdar and Salman Akram Raja appeared before the court along with other lawyers. The PTI founder’s three sisters were also present during the proceedings.

The court directed that the appeals of the PTI founder and Bushra Bibi be assigned numbers and scheduled for regular hearing.

The IHC also approved two miscellaneous applications filed by the founder and his spouse. Additionally, the court accepted their request to remove objections to the main appeals and granted an extension of time to address procedural objections.

With the objections now cleared, the appeals against their convictions in the Toshakhana-II case are set to proceed for further hearing.
