ISLAMABAD: Advisor to the Prime Minister Rana Sanaullah has said that the increase in the prices of petroleum products was due to the war in the Middle East and the government has no involvement in it, so we should not spread chaos internally and warned that if the war continues, we may face even worse situations.
While talking to the media regarding the sharp increase in the prices of petroleum products, Advisor to the Prime Minister Rana Sanaullah said that the government has decided to provide targeted subsidies so that the common man benefits and can cope with the situation.
He said that the government has no involvement in the price hike, it has increased due to the war. Everyone knows who and how started the war, but now some people do not talk about the austerity measures taken before these price hikes and the targeted subsidies approved by all political parties and the leadership, but rather want to carry out such protests or mislead people to protest against the government to further their political agenda.
He said that if this increase did not happen in the world, the conditions of other countries are not in front of them. Petrol and diesel are not available in Australia and India, but here, due to the day and night hard work of the current government and the Prime Minister, there has not been a single day when people were standing in queues at petrol pumps and petrol was not available.
The Prime Minister said that instead of giving credit to the government, they are propagandizing this issue, there should be a protest against the government, let’s come together and appreciate these steps of the government, help the government to handle these issues and move forward in a better way and also give suggestions.
Rana Sanaullah said that the hands of the government should be strengthened so that it is stronger in the role it is playing internationally to stop the war so that it is successful, instead of misleading and inciting the people and protesting against the government, the government has not increased prices, the government has tried to reduce prices and reduce the burden on the poor and the government is trying to stop this war, in such a situation the protest should be against Israel.
He said that in this difficult time, instead of creating division and chaos within ourselves, weakening ourselves and our country, we should strengthen our country and at this time keep ourselves a little above our political objectives and I will also appeal to the people to fight with unity.
The Prime Minister’s advisor said that prices have increased now, if this war continues like this for two or four months, then we may have to face even worse situations, not only Pakistan but the whole world will have to face it, in such situations we, as a strong, determined and brave nation, have to confront these things and not grab each other’s collars or lead each other to destruction by abusing each other.
He said that the public should also realize that such people who are inciting people to protest against the government for their personal political and group goals, while in this whole matter the government is making its best efforts in a positive direction locally and internationally, trying to stop the war and reduce the suffering of the common people.
He said that instead of weakening himself, this protest should be directed directly towards the cause or disease, which has engulfed the whole world in this war, the one who started this war and who has escalated it is in front of the whole world, Pakistan or the government of Pakistan has no involvement in it.
Rana Sanaullah said that just as we all demonstrated together as a dignified and determined nation on the occasion of the Battle of Truth last year, we need the same determination on this occasion as well, this crisis is not ours but someone else’s, we are among those who will end and resolve this crisis and will emerge from this crisis as a dignified nation.
