QUETTA: Lt. General Amir Riaz, Commander of Army’s Southern Command, on Friday said elements sitting in Geneva and London are being used by Pakistan’s enemies.
Speaking at a ceremony, Lt. General Amir Riaz said a RAW agent having links with separatist elements has been arrested. “Yesterday we all saw enemy’s serving employee being arrested from Balochistan.” he said, adding that Balochistan’s prosperity has always been a cause of concern for the enemy.
He urged the locals not to be misguided by the enemy and asked the “misguided elements” to mend their ways.
The commander said it was not the time for infighting as Pakistan’s geographical and ideological frontiers are being threatened. “60,000 people have sacrificed their lives during the last 10 years,” he said.
The Corps Commander’s remarks came a day after security agencies arrested an agent of Indian intelligence agency from Balochistan.
