Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar has said that Pakistan is only ready to participate in peacekeeping in Gaza and we will not participate in any effort to disarm Hamas.
Addressing a press conference at the Foreign Office, Ishaq Dar said that the recent visit of the President of the United Arab Emirates to Pakistan was very successful and the talks between the President of the UAE and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif were positive and constructive.
According to Ishaq Dar, Saudi Arabia, China and the United Arab Emirates supported Pakistan through state deposits, while the United Arab Emirates is also ready for a rollover of $2 billion in January and is also expected to invest for the remaining $2 billion.
He said that the UAE is also ready to take a share in the Military Foundation. Ishaq Dar said that when the PDM government took power, Pakistan was suffering from diplomatic isolation, but today Pakistan’s international prestige has been restored. He said that during the four-day war, Pakistan’s armed forces shattered Indian claims and India’s continuous misrepresentation has damaged its reputation.
The Deputy Prime Minister said that Pakistan exercised its right to self-defense under Article 51 of the United Nations Charter and sent a clear message to the world that Pakistan did not take the initiative.
