ISLAMABAD: Interior Ministry has sent investigative report regarding Dawn Leaks to Prime Minister, while the implementation on committee’s recommendation will be carried out after approval of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.
According to Prime Minister House Spokesperson, Dawn Leaks investigation report has been received. The six-member committee headed by Justice (R) Amir Raza held six meetings. The investigation report was prepared collectively by all committee members and was completed in six and half months.
Another sub-committee headed by Secretary Establishment also held 16 meetings, in which witnesses statements were recorded. On October 6, 2016 an English newspaper published controversial news regarding the meeting, in which the differences between Civil and military leaderships were highlighted over banned outfit matters. After the news Pervez Rasheed was removed from his position as Information Minister. According to report, Senior officer of Information ministry and Special Associate to Prime Minister Tariq Fatemi were held responsible for the leaks.
