LAHORE: All-round cricket star Imad Wasim has been embroiled in controversy involving a mystery woman who claims that he had relations with her.
According to the woman, Wasim had relations with her for a month and promised to marry her but later completely abandoned her. The woman is said to be of Afghan descent and she has leaked several images of herself with the cricket star. The two reportedly met in London.
Even though there is nothing objectionable about those images, the two do seem pretty close and comfortable with each other in those pictures.
Almost a week after those pictures surfaced and raised questions in the minds of the people, Wasim himself took to Twitter to refute these allegations and put the rumors to rest. On Wednesday, Wasim posted a series of tweets in which he said that all these allegations against him are baseless.
“A fan took pictures with me and then people alleged that I got married to her,” he said. “Then another picture [with another fan] surfaced and people alleged that she [this fan] was my girlfriend and I was cheating on my ‘wife.’
The cricketer said that he never promised to marry anyone and is still very much ‘single’.
“I request all media channels to not spread such rumours only because they need ‘spice’ [in their news bulletins],” he said. “Please respect my family and my privacy…I have never made a video to refute any allegations [levelled against me] in the past [but I have been forced to do so this time around].” Agencies
