Panic and fear gripped among the public as two students group exchanged fire on Monday.
According to Malik Allahyar Khan, Station House Officer PS Waris Khan, a policeman and two other were injured in cross firing during a clash of two rival groups of Swedish College, located at Committee Chowk, Rawalpindi. Police successfully arrested the student involved in shooting and recovered 30 bore pistol that was used in the attack.
The Rescue 1122 team and heavy contingents of police force reached the spot and shifted the injured persons to hospital. The traders were so afraid of the exchange of fire that they shut down their business and ran for safety.
SHO told this scribe that a case has been registered against the accused while police party raiding various places to arrest rest of the accused involved in exchange of fire. The doctors who operated upon the injured men told The Patriot that their wounds were not life threatening.
