Rawalpindi: Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee General Sahir Shamshad Mirza met with Bangladesh Army Quartermaster General Lieutenant General Muhammad Faizur Rehman in which the commitment to further enhance cooperation in the fields of defense and security between the two countries was reiterated.
According to a statement issued by the Pakistan Army Public Relations Department (ISPR), Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee General Sahir Shamshad Mirza met with Bangladesh Army Quartermaster General Lieutenant General Muhammad Faizur Rehman at the Joint Staff Headquarters Rawalpindi.
The ISPR said that the security situation in the region was discussed in the meeting, and the commitment to further enhance the existing cooperation in the field of defense and security was reiterated in the meeting.
It was reported regarding the meeting that the Chairman Joint Chiefs highlighted the growing bilateral relations between Pakistan and Bangladesh.
During this, new possibilities for defense cooperation were also identified.
According to the ISPR, the Bangladeshi guest of honor appreciated the professionalism of the Pakistani forces and paid tribute to their sacrifices against terrorism.
