DATTA KHEL: At least 22 militants on Sunday have been killed in the latest air strikes as army targeted as many as six hideouts in North Waziristan. According to the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), the Pakistan Army targeted terrorists’ hideouts near border in Datta Khel area.
As many as 22 terrorists have been killed in air strikes while six hideouts were destroyed and an ammunition depot. The IPSR stated that operation against militants continues in North Waziristan successfully.
In earlier strikes, Pakistan Army had taken out 25 insurgents in Datta Khel on October 1. The ISPR stated then that airstrikes have been upped a notch in North Waziristan specially in border-adjoined area, Shawal. A tally issued on first anniversary of Operation Zarb-e-Azb, a large-scale counter action against Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), the army stated that not less than 2,700 militants were killed.
