Chipmaker Nvidia announced at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) that it will launch a personal AI supercomputer called Project Digits in May.
Digits is a new 10GB Grace Blackwell superchip that packs a ton of processing power to run AI programs. Not only that, it can fit on a desk and be powered by a regular power cable.
This desktop-sized system can process AI programs with 200 billion parameters. Its starting price is $3,000.
Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang said in a press release that AI will play a central role in every application for every industry. This Grace Blackwell superchip will be in the hands of millions of developers.
He added that having an AI supercomputer on the desk of every scientist, AI researcher, and student empowers them to adapt AI to the times.
