Afghan children will be given polio drops and then deported, says Sindh Chief Minister

Karachi: Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah says that first Afghan children will be given polio drops, then they will be deported.

Talking to the media after inaugurating the anti-polio campaign at Gizri Maternity Home in Karachi, Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah said that polio drops will be administered to children at Gizri Maternity Home along with the Health Minister. During the 7-day anti-polio campaign, 16 million children will be given polio drops.

He said that unfortunately, polio disease is only in Pakistan and Afghanistan. Shaheed Bibi started the polio campaign by administering polio drops to her daughter Asifa Bhutto.

Murad Ali Shah said that after the Pak-Afghan war, there are reports of threats in the province, but despite all the dangers and threats, the polio campaign will continue in full swing. If any Afghan does any wrongdoing, a full response will be given.

The Chief Minister said that two newborn children were vaccinated against polio today, this campaign will be run from October 13 to 19 and polio teams will deliver data to CM House on a daily basis, we have established a cell.

He said that we all have to play a role together and I will ask the media to also play a positive role, support the polio campaign in the headlines. Media channels should run the first news regarding the polio campaign.

The Chief Minister said that a cell has been established in CM House for those parents who refuse to get vaccinated, our representatives will go to these parents and convince them. We request the scholars and all social figures to play their role in the polio campaign.
