Leading Bollywood actor Aamir Khan has revealed joint therapy sessions with his daughter Ara Khan to improve their relationship.
In a Netflix India video, Aamir talks to Ara and Dr. Vivek Murthy and says that he is seeking therapy to resolve issues with his daughter.
Aamir Khan said, “Therapy has been very helpful, and Ara has encouraged me to take this path. We both do therapy together to improve our relationship and work out issues that have been there for years.”
Aamir further revealed that during the pandemic, he realized his priorities in life, which led him to focus on spending time with his children.
Aamir Khan told Rhea Chakraborty’s podcast “Chapter 2” that he missed important moments with his daughter Ara Khan, son Junaid Khan, and Azad Khan due to his busy film career.
He said, “Ara was suffering from depression at that time and she needed me. Junaid is starting his career, and what is the point of my absence if I am not with him at this time?”
Aamir Khan is from his first wife Reena Dutta, with whom he also has a son, Junaid Khan. Both got divorced in 2002. Ara made her directorial debut in 2019 with the theater play Euripides Media.
Aamir has a son Azad Rao Khan with his second wife Kiran Rao, from whom Aamir announced his separation in July. The actor is now determined to improve his family relationship.
