The government has decided to expand the scope of intelligence operations for counter-terrorism.

According to the report, a meeting was held under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on national and internal security, where Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Faisal Kundi gave a detailed briefing on the steps taken so far in various sectors.

The meeting reviewed the law and order situation in 12 districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. According to sources, the performance of ARDC so far was also considered.

The Prime Minister directed to improve coordination between federal, provincial and law enforcement agencies. The meeting also reviewed the implementation of the Rs160 billion package for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa by the federal government.
