Indian cricket team’s star batsman Virat Kohli is in a position to break three important batting records of former captain Sachin Tendulkar in the upcoming ODI series against New Zealand.
The five-match series between the two teams will be played from November 4 to 15, during which Kohli will have the opportunity to cross several individual milestones.
List A Centuries:
The first record is for the most centuries in List A cricket. Both Kohli and Tendulkar have scored 60 centuries each so far. Another three-figure innings will take Kohli to the top of this list.
One-day International Runs:
The second target is to score the most runs in the chase for ODI runs. Kohli has scored 8,667 runs so far, while Tendulkar has 8,720 runs.
He needs 54 more runs to surpass the former great batsman.
Half-centuries against CENA countries:
The third record includes innings of 50 or more runs against CENA countries, namely South Africa, England, New Zealand and Australia.
Both players have achieved this feat 133 times, 133 times. The series against New Zealand could prove to be a crucial opportunity for Kohli to create history.
