Tehran: Speaker of the Iranian Parliament, Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf, has stated that Iran will not surrender to the threats or military actions of its enemies, and that the country is currently at the highest level of defensive readiness. Addressing a parliamentary session, Qalibaf remarked that, amidst the escalating tensions between Iran and the United States, the responsibility for preventing war now lies with Washington.

He emphasized that regional nations should be aware that, just as the Islamic Republic of Iran stands ready for combat—with its finger on the trigger—it has also delivered a decisive and logical response to the American side; the ball is now in the U.S. court regarding the prevention of war. The Speaker of the Iranian Parliament added that Iran maintains the highest level of defensive preparedness on the ground and across the military front, and warned that should Washington commit another strategic error, it would face an entirely new war scenario.
