The US has decided to deploy more warships and thousands of troops to the Middle East after nuclear talks with Iran stalled.

According to the Khaleej Times, the US aircraft carrier USS Theodore Roosevelt and the USS Macon Island Group, which includes marines, are being deployed to the region.

The deployments include about 9,000 sailors and marines. The move is aimed at maintaining a US military presence in the region and increasing the capacity for potential operations.

The US deployment of ships and troops comes after Iran refused to transfer its enriched uranium abroad.

Mohsen Rezaei, secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, has said that not even a small portion of enriched nuclear material will leave Iran.

Iranian President Masoud Peshmerga has also rejected talks under military pressure and called for an easing of sanctions.

Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf also said that the United States must meet seven of Iran’s conditions to resume talks, including lifting the blockade of Iranian ports and restoring frozen assets.

On the other hand, the United States maintains that any agreement must prevent Iran from developing nuclear weapons, while Iran denies trying to build a nuclear bomb.

It should be noted that Pakistan Army Chief Field Marshal Asim Munir and Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov also recently visited Iran to end the distrust between the two sides of the war, and diplomatic efforts are underway.
