According to the International Cricket Council (ICC), the Pakistan cricket team has been fined 10 percent of the match fee while the Sri Lankan team has been fined 5 percent.

The ICC said that Pakistan bowled two overs in the allotted time while Sri Lanka bowled one over.

Pakistan captain Shaheen Afridi and Sri Lanka captain Kaushal Mendis admitted to violating the slow over rate.

It should be noted that the first match of the tri-nation ODI series between Pakistan and Sri Lanka was played at the Pindi Cricket Stadium on Sunday.
