A storm of inflation has swept across the country, driving up the prices of vegetables, fruits, and meat.

In Lahore, vegetable prices remain uncontrolled; despite official rate lists, citizens are forced to buy vegetables at inflated prices. While the official rate for onions is Rs 195 per kg, they are selling for Rs 200 in the market. Tomatoes are selling at Rs 150 per kg, capsicum at Rs 280, bitter gourd at Rs 220, and cauliflower at Rs 180.

Meat prices have also risen in Faisalabad; disregarding official rates, beef is being sold at Rs 1,500 per kg instead of Rs 1,150, while the price of mutton has climbed to Rs 3,000 per kg, compared to the official rate of Rs 2,100.

In Peshawar, the price of flour has also increased, with a Rs 100 hike in the cost of a 20-kg bag.
