Tehran: Iran has stated that the Strait of Hormuz will not be reopened until its conditions are met and the promises made by the United States are fulfilled.

According to the semi-official Iranian news agency Fars, Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf stated that Iran must simultaneously wage war and engage in negotiations.

Ghalibaf said that Tehran would use military might to confront its enemies, while gains achieved on the battlefield would be consolidated through diplomacy when the appropriate time arrives.
