Bollywood actress Ameesha Patel has given a clear response to the reports of her romantic relationship with Indian cricketer Hardik Pandya and has given a sarcastic reply to a social media user. The actress termed such speculations as baseless and said that the meeting of ordinary friends is being unnecessarily given the color of love.

The matter started when Ameesha Patel and Hardik Pandya were seen together during a private function held at the Taj Mahal Palace in Mumbai. At the function, the actress was also introducing the cricketer to some of her friends. The video made on the occasion later went viral on social media.

After the video surfaced, a user commented and claimed that Ameesha placing her hand on Hardik’s shoulder indicates closeness between the two and thus proves the rumors circulating about their relationship to be true.

Ameesha Patel shared a screenshot of the user’s comment on her Instagram story and wrote sarcastically, “Yes, it was really romantic to put your hand on Hardik’s shoulder.” The actress added that she doesn’t even know the man and it seems he probably doesn’t have any girl friends, so he’s considering a casual meeting between friends as a romantic relationship.

According to Indian media reports, Hardik Pandya is currently in a relationship with model Mahika Sharma. The cricketer had officially admitted his relationship with Mahika Sharma through social media in 2025.

It should be noted that Hardik Pandya was previously married to actress Natasha Stankovic, but the relationship ended in divorce. The two also have a son.
