Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has taken a principled decision to introduce an “AI-powered multi-disease scanner” for patients in Punjab.

Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif was given a detailed briefing about the modern artificial intelligence-equipped medical scanner at a meeting of executives of the renowned Chinese company Alibaba, in which it was informed that the AI-powered contrast CT scan will be able to diagnose ten diseases in two minutes.

It was informed in the briefing that the modern technology will be helpful in the process of screening, diagnosis, treatment and management of the disease. Through the AI-powered scanner, timely screening and detection of various types of malignant cancers will also be possible, including pancreatic, liver, stomach, esophageal and colon cancers.
