The White House has clarified that there are currently no direct negotiations between the United States and Iran to end the war or for a new agreement.
According to the World News Agency, this was confirmed by White House Press Secretary Caroline Levitt in an interview with Fox News.
He said that there are no negotiations at the moment and this situation will remain until US President Donald Trump feels that Iran is seriously ready to come to the table for meaningful negotiations.
According to White House spokesman Levitt, President Trump’s top priority is that Iran will never be able to obtain nuclear weapons.
He added that after the military action on Iran, the United States has now focused on increasing economic pressure, while the president still has all options, including military action.
This statement by the White House came at a time when Qatar is actively trying to restore diplomatic channels between Iran and the United States.

The talks between Qatari and Iranian officials also discussed a plan to establish a temporary joint maritime corridor to restore safe shipping in the Strait of Hormuz and to clear mines from the waterway.
The United States has intensified economic pressure on Iran in addition to military pressure.
US Treasury Secretary Scott Besant this week warned various countries to cut financial ties with Iran and hinted at secondary sanctions if they violate the sanctions.
Iranian officials have strongly criticized the US sanctions, calling them a full-scale economic war against Iran.
Iran maintains that it will not give up on its national interests despite US pressure.
It should be noted that Iran and Oman are also discussing a temporary maritime corridor for the Strait of Hormuz and a method for clearing mines, but the two countries have not yet reached a final agreement on the conditions for fully reopening the route.
