Islamabad: Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has said that we are proud of our brave forces, Pakistan will not hesitate to make any sacrifice for its defense and protection of national interests including water resources, today Pakistan is recognized as a strong, determined, dignified and powerful voice of peace in the world.
In his message posted on X on Independence Day, he said that from the bottom of my heart, I wish all the compatriots in Pakistan and abroad a happy Independence Day! Today, on the happy occasion of the completion of 79 years of Pakistan’s independence, I extend my heartfelt congratulations to all the compatriots. It is a matter of honor and pride for us that the Father of the Nation Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, the Thinker of Pakistan, the Poet of the East Allama Muhammad Iqbal and many great and unparalleled leaders were involved in the freedom struggle. Today, we salute the leaders, workers and ancestors of the freedom movement.
He said that due to the wise and visionary leadership of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, the great sacrifices of our forefathers, the unwavering determination of the leaders of the freedom movement and the boundless grace and mercy of Allah Almighty, the dream of an independent state was realized. The passionate political struggle of all the leaders of the freedom movement united the Muslims of India on the ideal of an independent homeland. Our forefathers created a story of eternal sacrifices, hardships and sufferings and the freedom struggle was successful. On August 14, 1947, we were given a land where we could build a life as an independent nation with honor and dignity and according to religious and cultural values. The land of Pakistan guarantees complete freedom for all citizens regardless of color and race, subject to Islamic teachings and the ideals of the father of the nation. The Constitution and laws of Pakistan guarantee the rights of all citizens.
The Prime Minister said that Pakistan’s journey of progress and prosperity is moving towards a bright future. In the fields of national defense, economy, industry and crafts, judiciary, media, sports, education and skills, scholars, intellectuals, teachers, scientists, agriculture and farming, and including modern sectors of the present era, Pakistani men and women have created a chapter of determination and imagination with their efforts. Our talented youth, skilled workforce, excellent professionals, hardworking farmers and hardworking laborers are the guarantors of the bright future of the country and nation. The government of Pakistan has achieved the goal of a stable economy after overcoming very difficult stages in the last two and a half years and is now successfully moving towards the destination of a developed economy. During the last two years, remittances from overseas Pakistanis increased by $11.3 billion, which is a reflection of the continued trust of overseas Pakistanis in government policies
Shehbaz Sharif said that equipped with modern information technology, sustainable industrial and agricultural development, public welfare projects, employment opportunities, world-class education and skill system are among our top priorities. Our brave forces have proven the defense of the motherland invincible in every difficulty and in response to every attack of the enemy. Pakistan is proud of its armed forces. In the fight for justice, the armed forces, under the leadership of Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, demonstrated unity, determination and unparalleled bravery and created a new history of defense and glory of the beloved homeland. Pakistan will not hesitate to make any sacrifice for its defense and protection of national interests, including water resources. Today, Pakistan is recognized in the world as a strong, determined, dignified and powerful voice of peace. In the difficult and challenging regional situation, Pakistan has emerged as a responsible and stable country in the region, which is playing a constructive role in promoting peace, stability and regional cooperation.
He said that the joint defense agreement signed between Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and Turkey in Mecca is an important manifestation of Pakistan’s growing strategic role and emerging power in the region. Pakistan expresses its full solidarity with the oppressed Palestinian people and its sisters and brothers of Jammu and Kashmir and reiterates its unwavering principled support for them. The guarantee of lasting peace in South Asia lies in a diplomatic solution to Jammu and Kashmir in accordance with UN resolutions, international laws and the aspirations of the Kashmiris. Today, on Independence Day, the entire nation is indebted to the brave forces, the brave soldiers of law enforcement agencies, the Ghazis and all the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the future of the nation.
He further said that let us renew our national resolve today that we will work together for the development and prosperity, peace and stability, and mutual harmony and unity of the land of Pakistan. Today, I sincerely offer to the entire nation, including all classes and political parties, to come together and work constructively for the protection and promotion of the country’s integrity, national interests, and may Allah Almighty make Pakistan a symbol of honor and dignity in the world and bless it with success, Amen!
