Pakistan leg-spinner Abrar Ahmed has moved up one place to become the world’s second-best bowler in the latest ICC T20 rankings.
According to the rankings released on Wednesday, Abrar Ahmed has overtaken India’s Varun Chakraborty to take second position with 736 rating points, while Afghanistan’s Rashid Khan remains at the top with 753 points.
Among other Pakistani bowlers, Mohammad Nawaz is 12th, Salman Mirza is 20th and Shaheen Shah Afridi remains at 30th with 602 rating points.
In the T20 batting rankings, Pakistan’s opener Sahibzada Farhan is at third place with 848 rating points and is the highest-rated batsman from Pakistan.
India’s Ishan Kishan has returned to the top spot while his compatriot Abhishek Sharma has slipped one place to second.
Among other Pakistani batsmen, Saim Ayub is at 40th, Babar Azam is at 42nd and T20 captain Salman Ali Agha is at 44th.
In the T20 all-rounders rankings, Saim Ayub remains at third place, while Zimbabwe’s Sikandar Raza is at first and India’s Hardik Pandya is at second place.
In the Test batting rankings, Mohammad Rizwan has moved up one place to 18th and Babar Azam has moved up to 19th. Saud Shakeel remains at 23rd, while Salman Ali Agha has dropped two places to 28th.
Among Test bowlers, Noman Ali is Pakistan’s highest-ranked bowler and remains at seventh place, while Shaheen Shah Afridi and Mohammad Abbas have moved up two places to 25th and 26th respectively.
