ISLAMABAD : Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has emphasized Pakistan’s commitment to promoting peace, tolerance, and social harmony to build a better, more inclusive and prosperous society for all.
In his message on the International Day of Living Together in Peace being observed today, he highlighted the importance of building peaceful and united societies at both national and international levels.
The Prime Minister recalled the vision of the Father of the Nation, Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah saying Pakistan upholds the principles of honesty and fair play in both national and international affairs.
He said the country is committed to making its utmost contributions to the promotion of peace and prosperity at home and abroad.
Shehbaz Sharif underscored Pakistan’s diverse languages, cultures, and civilizational traditions as a source of national strength.
He highlighted initiatives such as Paigham-e-Pakistan, aimed at promoting national unity and eliminating ideological extremism.
The Prime Minister said the government is implementing several measures to ensure social cohesion, including the National Action Plan on Human Rights, the National Action Plan on Business and Human Rights and the Human Rights Awareness Programme.
