Peshawar, H.E Dato’ Mohammad Azhar Mazlan, High Commissioner of Malaysia to Pakistan, undertook a social outreach visit to Peshawar, aimed at strengthening engagement with local institutions and gaining a broader understanding of the socio-cultural landscape of the province.
During the visit, the High Commissioner called on the senior administration of University of Peshawar. The meeting provided an opportunity for a cordial exchange on academic developments, institutional priorities, and prospects for enhancing people-to-people linkages, particularly in the areas of education and cultural understanding.
The programme also included a visit to China Window, where the High Commissioner was briefed on its role as a platform for cultural exchange and international cooperation. The visit underscored the importance of such institutions in promoting mutual understanding and showcasing global heritage at the local level.
In addition, the High Commissioner toured Karkhano Market, one of the city’s well-known commercial hubs. The visit offered a firsthand look at local business activities and community interactions, reflecting the vibrancy of Peshawar’s trading environment.
The visit formed part of the High Commission’s ongoing efforts to engage with diverse regions across Pakistan, fostering closer ties through social, educational and cultural interactions.
