Lahore; Pak-China trade agreements in various sectors, MoUs signed

Several MoUs and trade agreements were signed between Pakistani and Chinese companies to further strengthen Pak-China industrial and trade relations.

According to an APP report, several MoUs and trade agreements were signed between Pakistani and Chinese companies after successful matchmaking sessions at the Pak-China Business to Business Conference held at a local hotel, where important agreements and MoUs were signed in the presence of Special Assistant to the Prime Minister Haroon Akhtar Khan.

The report said that 105 representatives from 74 Chinese companies and 242 representatives from 136 Pakistani companies participated in the conference. 15 MoUs were signed in the household electrical appliances sector, with the largest investment in this sector reaching $40 million. Similarly, 10 important agreements were signed in the electrical sector, with the largest agreement worth $60 million.

It was further reported that 27 agreements and MoUs were signed in the battery storage sector, with the largest investment recorded at $82 million, and negotiations on another 40 MoUs are underway at the Pak-China Business to Business Conference, which has opened up new possibilities for industrial cooperation.

Speaking on the occasion, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister Haroon Akhtar Khan said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Pakistan is moving towards economic stability and industrial development. The government is working day and night to promote industrial development and exports.

He said that Pak-China economic cooperation is an important source of development and prosperity for both countries. These agreements between Pak-China companies have opened new doors for joint investment in various sectors, which will further strengthen the industrial and trade relations between Pakistan and China.
