Islamabad: The Ambassador of Austria to Pakistan, Wolfgang Oliver Kutcera, met with Managing Director of National Grid Company (NGC), Engineer Altaf Hussain Malik, to discuss strengthening bilateral cooperation in the energy sector and expanding international partnerships in support of Pakistan’s energy goals.
According to an NGC spokesperson, the Austrian Ambassador, along with a delegation from Andritz Hydro, visited the NGC headquarters in Lahore on Thursday. Andritz Hydro is a globally renowned Austrian company with a long-standing presence in Pakistan’s hydropower sector.
During the meeting, discussions focused on enhancing cooperation in renewable and hydropower development, with a shared commitment to advancing sustainable energy solutions in Pakistan.
The Austrian Ambassador assured full support from Austria for the future development of the energy sector in Pakistan. Engineer Altaf Hussain Malik thanked the Ambassador and the delegation for their visit and reiterated NGC’s commitment to continued engagement and strengthened bilateral cooperation.
The NGC spokesperson welcomed this positive development and stated that the organization looks forward to sustained dialogue and long-term collaboration with Austrian partners in the energy sector.
