PSL 11: Shameful defeat to Rawalpindi, Hyderabad Kingsmen reach the play-off stage

Hyderabad Kingsmen defeated Rawalpindi by 108 runs in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 11 to advance to the play-off stage.

In the 39th match of the event played at the National Stadium, Karachi, Rawalpindi team was bowled out for 136 runs in the 18th over while chasing 245.

Usman Khawaja was the standout for Rawalpindi with an unbeaten 66 runs. Captain Muhammad Rizwan 26, Sam Billings 23, Diane Forrester 6, Saad Masood 5, Imad Butt 3, Asif Afridi 3, Shahzeb Khan 1 while Kamran Ghulam, Muhammad Amir and Ben Sears were out without scoring any runs.

For Kingsmen, Haneen Shah took 4 wickets and Akif Javed took 3 wickets. Mohammad Ali and Glenn Maxwell took 1 wicket each.

Earlier, Hyderabad Kingsmen, batting first at the invitation of Rawalpindi, scored 244 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in the allotted 20 overs.

Glenn Maxwell was the top scorer for Kingsmen with 70 runs. Usman Khan scored 54 while Kaushal Perera and Hasan Khan scored 50 and 16 runs respectively.

Other batsmen were dismissed for individual scores of Moaz Sadaqat 28, Saim Ayub 12, captain Marnus Labuschagne 5 and Irfan Khan 0.

For Rawalpindi, Saad Masood took 2 wickets. Imad Butt, Ben Sears and Asif Afridi took 1 wicket each.
