Iranian Foreign Minister meets Prime Minister along with delegation, discusses regional situation

The second round of Iran-US talks is underway. Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi and an Iranian delegation met with Prime Minister Mohammad Shahbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir.

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi arrived at the Prime Minister’s House to meet the Prime Minister. Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar and Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defense Forces Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir also attended the meeting with the Prime Minister.

The regional situation was discussed in the meeting. According to the Iranian embassy, ​​Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir and Iranian Foreign Minister Dr. Syed Abbas Araqchi met in Islamabad along with other officials. Matters of mutual interest and the overall situation in the region were discussed in the meeting.

Regional security and bilateral cooperation between Iran and Pakistan were discussed. Pakistani Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi and National Security Advisor General Asim Malik also participated in the meeting.

The Iranian delegation included Deputy Foreign Minister Gharibabadi, Ambassador Reza Amiri Moqadam and Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Baqai. Iran and Pakistan emphasized the promotion of peace and stability in the region. It was agreed to further strengthen Pak-Iran relations and security cooperation.

Earlier, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi, who was on a visit to Pakistan, met with Field Marshal Asim Munir.

A statement issued by the Iranian embassy said that during his visit, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi had his first official meeting with Field Marshal Asim Munir.

Abbas Araqchi will hold an important meeting with Shahbaz Sharif at the Prime Minister’s House today, which is expected to be held later.

According to sources, important political and military leaders will also participate in the meeting, while the Iranian Foreign Minister will attend with his delegation.

Sources say that bilateral relations, the regional situation and important diplomatic issues will be discussed in this meeting. After the meeting, the Iranian delegation will leave for Muscat and Moscow, where further diplomatic contacts will be continued.

According to reports, US officials will also be informed in the light of the consultations with Pakistan, while a decision regarding the possible visit of the US delegation to Pakistan will be made later. Iranian officials say that the time for the talks between the US and Iran has not yet been finalized, however, the overall situation is likely to become clearer after the visits to Muscat and Mosc
