Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Muhammad Sohail Afridi has said that if discrimination against the country’s largest political party continues, then all kinds of reconciliation will be ended.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Muhammad Sohail Afridi, while discussing important national and provincial affairs during the cabinet meeting, said that Pakistan has received international recognition for its role in peace and dialogue, Imran Khan has been a proponent of this policy for 24 years.
He said that Imran Khan has always maintained that military operations and wars are not the solution to problems, negotiations and peace have always been given priority, Imran Khan postponed the April 9 meeting in the broader national interest of Pakistan and we sacrificed political interests and put the national interest first and demonstrated responsible political behavior.
Sohail Afridi said that he participated in the federal government meeting in the national interest by putting political capital at stake, the occupying and imposed rulers are only prioritizing their ego satisfaction and personal interests, fake and incompetent rulers are constantly ignoring the national interest.
He said that if the current attitude continues, there will be non-cooperation with the federation and a policy of boycott will be adopted. The preparation of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Annual Development Program 2026 and 2027 has entered the final stages, the projects are being finalized.
Regarding development projects, he said that all departments should utilize all their capabilities in the preparation of ADP, ensure comprehensive and effective planning.
The Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa said that it has been decided to include the public in development planning and participatory governance is our first priority.
The Chief Minister announced to seek suggestions from the public regarding roads, tube wells, hospitals and other basic facilities and said that a special link will be issued on the social media platforms of the Deputy Commissioners to obtain public opinion, citizens will be provided with the opportunity to convey their complaints and suggestions directly to the government.
He told the people of the province that the portal will remain open for public feedback from May 4 to May 8, and the public should participate fully because the public suggestions will be included in the Annual Development Program 2026-27 to ensure effective implementation.
