Britain denies Trump's claim of attacks on ships in the Strait of Hormuz

Britain has denied US President Donald Trump’s claim that a British ship, along with a French one, came under fire in the Strait of Hormuz, explaining that there have been no reports in this regard.

According to a report by the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC), the British Ministry of Defense and the Department of Transport said in statements that there were no reports of an attack on a British ship in the Strait of Hormuz on Saturday.

According to the British Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO), two ships, including a tanker and a cargo ship, were attacked in the Strait of Hormuz on Saturday, but it was not specified which country the two ships belonged to.

US President Donald Trump said in a statement that Iran had decided to attack the Strait of Hormuz yesterday, which is a complete violation of the ceasefire. A French ship and a British ship were hit in the firing.

Earlier, Indian Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri had said that there had been an incident of firing with two Indian aircraft in the area.
