Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi has announced that the Strait of Hormuz is being opened to all commercial ships under the ceasefire agreement.

According to the International News Agency, the Iranian Foreign Minister announced this in a post on his social media account.

In which it is said that during the remaining period of the ceasefire, all commercial ships will be able to pass through a coordinated route determined by Iran.

The Iranian Foreign Minister added in his tweet that these routes have already been issued by the Ports and Maritime Organization of Iran.

It should be noted that the ceasefire between Iran and the United States will end on April 22. It remains to be seen whether Iran will close the Strait of Hormuz again after this date or whether a final agreement will be reached before then.

It is not yet clear on what conditions Iran has taken this very important step and what agreements have been reached for it.

It should be remembered that the United States and Israel carried out an air strike on Iran on February 28, in which Ayatollah Khamenei was martyred along with the military leadership.

In response to these attacks, Iran closed the Strait of Hormuz, which is an important waterway for the supply of oil and gas to the world.

The closure of the Strait of Hormuz caused a shortage of oil and gas in the world and prices began to skyrocket, the effects of which were manifested in the form of inflation and economic destruction.

In such a situation, Pakistan played the role of a mediator and the parties agreed on a two-week ceasefire in which the US promised not to carry out further attacks and Iran promised to open the Strait of Hormuz.

After which, negotiations were also held between the US and Iran in Islamabad, hosted by Pakistan. At that time, Field Marshal Asim Munir is also visiting Iran.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is also visiting Saudi Arabia and other Gulf countries, and these diplomatic efforts are proving to be successful.
