The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has declared Zimbabwean cricketer Blessing Mazar-e-Abani ineligible to participate in the next two editions with immediate effect.
According to details, this decision has been taken for violating the agreement made in the PSL.
The PCB says the decision was made for failure to honour the commitments agreed upon for the PSL contract.
The PCB maintains that professional cricket is based on trust and contractual assurances, and the cricketer in question has ignored his responsibilities.
Once the necessary terms, including compensation and structure, have been agreed upon in writing, it becomes an obligation to comply with them, so attempting to deviate from such commitments without good reason is a violation of the principles of conflict of obligations and good faith.
The PCB says that the ethical framework will not be compromised, while the two-year ban reflects the seriousness of the violation.
The Zimbabwean cricketer had violated his contract with the PCB, for which legal action was taken.
Despite agreeing to represent Islamabad United this season, 29-year-old bowler Mazarbani had signed a contract with the Indian league.
It should be noted that the PCB had also taken legal action against South African cricketer Corbin Bush last year for violating his contract.
