Vatican head Pope Leo XIII, ignoring the harsh criticism of US President Donald Trump, has said that he is not afraid of the Trump administration and will stick to the message of peace.
According to the World News Agency, Pope Leo XIII expressed these views while talking to journalists on the plane while leaving for a visit to African countries.
Pope Leo said that he is not afraid to express the message of the Gospel loudly, this is his first responsibility. The work of the church is not to do politics but to give a message of peace.
He added that we are not politicians and we do not view foreign policy the way they do, but as a pacifist, I believe in the message of the Gospel.
It should be recalled that President Trump had severely criticized Pope Leo IV a day earlier, calling him unfit for foreign policy.

President Trump had said that he does not support a Pope who takes a soft stance on a country like Iran, especially when it comes to nuclear weapons.
To which a Vatican official also reacted to Trump’s statements and said that the US president is targeting a moral voice because he is unable to suppress it.
It should be noted that Pope Leo, while calling Jesus Christ the King of Peace, had also emphasized that religion cannot be used as a justification for war. He does not accept the prayers of those who support war.
