Australian leg-spinner Adam Zampa has said that the long duration of the IPL proves difficult for foreign players, which is why he preferred the PSL this time.

During an interview in Lahore, Zampa said that short-term T20 leagues are more suitable for players.

He said that although his initial plan was to rest this season, the short schedule of the PSL persuaded him to participate.

According to Zampa, the IPL lasts for about two and a half months, the duration of which can be reduced to provide relief to the players.

Zampa was included in the PSL draft for the first time, where Karachi Kings made him a part of the team for a hefty fee.

Thanks to his outstanding performance, the team made a good start in the event and he is among the prominent bowlers.

Adam Zampa also pointed out that foreign spinners, especially leg-spinners, are not given the same importance in the IPL as they are in other leagues.

Zampa made it clear that his top priority now is to play for Australia and maintain his fitness so that he can participate in future big events.
