President Donald Trump has once again claimed that he can reopen the Strait of Hormuz whenever he wants, with great ease and without anyone’s help.
According to the World News Agency, it has been 35 days since the US and Israel’s war with Iran and the Strait of Hormuz is still closed, due to which there is a shortage of petrol worldwide and prices are skyrocketing.
The US President had also sought help from NATO allies to free this most important waterway from the Iranian blockade, but when he did not receive any help, he claimed that the US would do it alone.
On his social media platform Truth Social, President Trump said that if we get a little more time, we can easily open the Strait of Hormuz, get oil and make a lot of money.
US President Donald Trump added that this move will prove to be a great economic flow for the world.
President Trump’s statement is significant in that he has previously maintained that the responsibility for keeping the Strait of Hormuz open lies with the countries that depend on the oil passing through this route, especially Europe and Asian countries, and not with the United States.
It should be remembered that the Strait of Hormuz is one of the world’s most important sea lanes through which a large amount of global oil passes. Iran has closed it in response to US and Israeli attacks.
