Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar contacted his Saudi counterpart and discussed the latest situation in the region.

According to a Foreign Office spokesperson, the two leaders stressed the urgent need for de-escalation of regional tensions and dialogue.

The Pakistan-China five-point initiative for peace in the Gulf and the Middle East was also discussed on the occasion.

The two foreign ministers reaffirmed the strong and brotherly relations between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia and agreed to maintain mutual communication.
