ISLAMABAD: Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi visited the Chinese Embassy in the Diplomatic Enclave and met with Chinese Ambassador Jiang Zedong. The Chinese Ambassador welcomed Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi upon his arrival at the embassy. The meeting discussed counter-terrorism, security cooperation, police exchange program and other important issues, while the overall situation in the region was also discussed. It was decided to hold a business conference in the meeting to resolve the security issues faced by Chinese investors in Pakistan. In the first phase, meetings will be held with the Chinese business community in Pakistan, and in the second phase, meetings will be held with investors interested in investing in Pakistan. The Interior Minister said that a Special Protection Unit is being established to protect foreign citizens. The Special Protection Unit will ensure the security of Chinese citizens in Islamabad. The personnel of the ‘Special Protection Unit’ will also be taught Chinese during training.
