Security forces kill five Indian proxy terrorists in Pishin operation

RAWALPINDI: Security forces have eliminated five Indian-sponsored terrorists in an intelligence-based operation in Pishin district of Balochistan.

The operation was conducted on 22 February 2026 on reported presence of terrorists belonging to Indian proxy, Fitna al Khwarij, the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a press release issued on Monday.

During the conduct of operation, own troops effectively engaged the entire tashkeel with multiple weapons. After an intense fire exchange, a suicide bomber cowardly blew himself up and four other Indian sponsored terrorists were killed.

Weapons, ammunition and explosives were also recovered from the Khwarij, who remained actively involved in numerous terrorist activities in the area.

Sanitization operations are being conducted to eliminate any other Indian sponsored terrorist found in the area.

Relentless Counter Terrorism campaign under vision “Azm e Istehkam” (as approved by Federal Apex Committee on National Action Plan) by Security Forces and Law Enforcement Agencies of Pakistan will continue at full pace to wipe out menace of foreign sponsored and supported terrorism from the country, ISPR concluded.

Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, Monday, commended the security forces for eliminating four terrorists of Indian proxy Fitna al Khwarij in District Pishin, Balochistan.

The prime minister observed that under Azm e Istehkam vision, the security forces had been achieving huge successes against terrorism, PM Office Media Wing said in a press release.

He said the entire nation was standing with its armed forces in the fight against terrorism and reiterated the resolve to completely eradicate all forms of terrorism from the country.
